AWI affiliates are UA faculty, staff, or student researchers who work on any topic that could be related to water or useful in water research. Our services are not exclusive to scientists.
AWI Faculty Fellowship Program
The Alabama Water Institute Faculty Fellowship program recognizes The University of Alabama faculty for outstanding research, extension, and education programs that significantly advance UA’s interdisciplinary water-related communities of science. Faculty at the assistant professor rank, including equivalent non-tenure-track faculty, are eligible for the Early Career Alabama Water Institute Faculty Fellowship. Faculty at the associate or full professor rank, including equivalent non-tenure-track faculty, are eligible for the Distinguished Alabama Water Institute Faculty Fellowship.
